Dr. Sandra Goodwin

Dr GoodwinDr. Goodwin grew up in nearby Mesquite, Texas and is a proud graduate of Mesquite High School.  After graduation, Dr. Goodwin attended Eastfield College and Texas A&M University of Commerce to complete pre-requisite classes for Veterinary School.  She graduated in 2004 from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.   In 2006, Dr. Goodwin co-founded Animal Medical Center of Forney.  Dr. Goodwin continued her studies in 2008, and completed coursework in Veterinary Acupuncture with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. 

 Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and pain management.  Dr. Goodwin sees each patient as an individual.  “Each dog or cat we see has a unique lifestyle and needs. When we make recommendations for such things as nutrition, vaccines, or heartworm prevention, we consider the needs of the pet and their family.”

 Dr. Goodwin has been married to her husband, Bryan, also a Mesquite native, for 15 years.  They have a beautiful baby daughter named Taylen.  Together, they share their home with 3 dogs (Riley, Annie, and Weatherby), 2 cats (George and Cody), and three horses.  “We love our dogs and cats and hope that Taylen grows up to love animals as much as we do.”

 

Dr. Kipp Wingo

Dr. Kipp Wingo was born and raised in Edgewood, Texas, where his family farmed, ranched, and ran a feed store business. He graduated from Tarleton Dr. WingoState University with a Bachelor's in Science, and earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1990.

Dr. Wingo is co- founder of Animal Medical Center of Forney and is owner/ practitioner of Van Zandt Animal Care Center in Wills Point. His primary medical focus includes small animal orthopedic and laparoscopic surgery, small animal dentistry, and reproduction.

He is currently Vice President of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice (TAVP), an organization within the Texas Veterinary Medical Association that promotes high standards of veterinary medicine through continuing education. He is also a long-standing member of the Society for Theriogenology, a branch of veterinary medicine which deals with reproduction.

Most important in his life, Dr. Wingo enjoys spending time with his wife Tracy, daughters Cassy and Addison, and his son Cayden. In his spare time you will find him practicing Taekwondo with his son, jogging, or participating in numerous events with his family.  Dr. Wingo frequently attends continuing education seminars and is an avid reader.
